We’re a Wisconsin-based marketplace connecting anglers with ice shack owners, guides, resorts, and businesses that share our passion for hard water.

ShackShare began with a simple problem. Founder Jamie Besaw and his dad wanted to explore smaller, lesser-known lakes but struggled to find ice shacks available to rent. That sparked an idea:
What if anglers could find and book ice shacks on lakes all across the ice belt, all in one place?
From an Idea to ShackShare 2.0
2022
Jamie ran it by the boss, and in 2022, ShackShare was born in Shawano, Wisconsin.
The first ShackShare
We launched the original ShackShare to test the concept. Shack owners signed up, anglers booked trips, and we learned what worked—and what needed improvement.
2026
The concept was proven. The platform needed to grow. So in 2026, we reinvested in ShackShare, rebuilding it from the ground up with better booking tools, more flexibility for hosts, and a modern experience for anglers.
Fall 2026
ShackShare 2.0 launched in fall 2026, built on everything our community taught us.
